Bhopal: Workshop on 'Model rocketry"

Model rocketry grew rapidly with the wave of interest in the new space age. It introduced rocketry while using safe, commercially available motors, and thus avoided the dangers of mixing ones own propellants. It is a popular hobby both for adults and young people and to improve their hobby Regional Science Center organized seven days Model Rocketry workshop for children's. The workshop is giving chance to students to learn how to build and launch scientific experiments.
MS Raut (Expert of rocketry model) said - "The hands-on workshop teaches participants to build experiments that fly on sounding rockets, During the week, participants will work together in teams of three to construct and integrate a sounding rocket payload from a kit in four days. On the last day of the workshop their experiments will fly on open ground".
"I am very pleased to see the enthusiasm and the level of participation displayed by all the students who attended the workshop. These workshop saw activities as well as a vast pool of talent unfold. I am quite sure that participating students have gained valuable information and knowledge about model rockets," added -Raut.
The workshop was attended by more then 15 students from various schools, who participated in this unique science activity were trained in preparing and launching model rockets. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of expert MS Raut Apart from imparting significant knowledge about model rockets and rocketry
A model rocket is a real, flying, small size, model of an actual big scientific or military type rocket or a missile. The main feature of the model rocket is that it is constructed from non-metallic, self-contained solid propellant engines, which are ignited either by agarbattis or electrically. Thus, they are safe, challenging, educational rockets for school/college students. Once ignited, the rockets have an ability to ascend to a height of 600 feet into the sky and return to the ground without blasting.
Rahul Jain student - "The rockets designed by us will be miniature models of actual rockets. The engine used will be make by us through some materials. We also have equipment to measure the height achieved by model rockets." We all are enjoying this workshop a lot because its so much fun with the great knowledge.
