In all the 24 dengue-affected areas of State incuding Bhopal, capital malaria office and Bhopal Municipal Corporation are jointly emitting smoke by fogging machine and killing the mosquitoes. This drive was started on October 9.
Joint Director Health Bhopal division Dr AN Mittal informed that district malaria office has constituted 15 teams for this work which are emitting mosquito killer smoke in the colonies and localities falling in the wards. These mobile teams are on continuous drive in these areas. Seeing the large number of mosquitoes the number of machines has been increased to 17.
Dr Mittal further said that these teams are taking advise and guidance from local corporators, residents and social workers. The work of these teams is being continuously monitored and their daily report is being sought. Dr Mittal has appealed to the citizens of Bhopal to cooperate with the teams which are emitting smoke from fogging machines which kills mosquitoes and help in containing the deadly disease dengue.
