Forest medicinal plant cultivation awards on cards

The Madhya Pradesh State Minor Forest Produce Federation has invited entries for Forest Medicinal Plant Cultivation Awards for the years 2009 and 2010 till May 22. This award was established in the year 2003. Among the awards Rs 25 thousand will be given for ‘Van Aushadhi Krishi Bhushan’, Rs 15 thousand for ‘Van Aushadhi Krishi Ratan’, and Rs 10 thousand for ‘Van Aushadhi Krishi Pandit’. The applicants should be a domicile of Madhya Pradesh, should have been cultivating forest medicinal plants at least for three years before the year of award, and should have motivated other farmers to cultivate forest medicinal plants. Format of the application can be obtained from the head office of the Madhya Pradesh State Minor Forest Produce Federation, Bhopal.
