VINTAGE Romance

FOR DIE hard romantics Valentines day is definitely not about scoring a roll in the sack and even those who claim to be too cool for school or dismissive of all things lovey-dovey and mush should try the amorous route for a change. Traditional tokens of love like a box of gourmet chocolate, roses, a bottle of champagne or wine over dinner are timeless never fail gestures.

Why not transition to an era of love gone by and take the vintage route to be irresistibly charming and oh so feminine. Ditch the wild lingerie, the satin glamour and the done to death bling that you sport every other weekend. Get inspired by the flirtatious styles of Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Asha Parekh and Babita to surprise your partner with some old school charm.

The fifties and sixties were full of glamour with the bouffant, soft curls, pinned back hair and playful ponytails with colourful scarves.

LIFESTYLE shows you some classic options keeping in mind the season of love; incorporate roses, ruffles, sheers, kitsch and all things romantic into your wardrobe.

Play the sassy belle, the shy sport and the vintage haseena. Give those wannabe fashionistas a run for their money while you floor your date. The retro look is not only in vogue but it also rules the red carpet worldwide. Take a chance and fashion yourself after Dita Von Teese or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's look in Action Replayy and watch the sparks fly.

LOVE STORY

The Sari is not only the perfect attire for someone that is used to wearing Indian but it's also nice for those that want to pleasantly surprise their beaus.
