The monsoons are expected to arrive at its scheduled time with the possibility of some early showers in Madhya Pradesh.
''Monsoon has entered Kerala and advanced into Tamil Nadu. The cyclonic circulation in the Arabian sea is advancing in the northerly direction,'' Regional Meteorological Centre Director D P Dubey told UNI.
He said the south-west monsoon is expected to arrive in Madhya Pradesh by mid-June.
''The pre-monsoon showers are expected in the state by June 3 or 4. The change in the wind direction towards western parts had brought a minor decline in the temperature in the state,'' Mr Dubey said.
The monsoons arrival date in Madhya Pradesh is June 15 but had been arriving delayed for the past few years. Last year, the monsoons arrived on June 26.
About 99 cms of average rainfall is recorded in Madhya Pradesh.The rainfall recorded last year in most of the districts of the state was below average.
