After a long wait food plaza 'Rush N Bite' opened today. IRCTC chief regional manager Virendra Singh informed media today that quality and food safety would be maintained always.
Bhopal Railway Station has received ISO certificate. The food plaza is an added attraction to the station. In fact Bhopal Railway Station would be known now for the biggest food plaza of the country. The food plaza is situated in an area of 5000 sq feet. The passengers would get everything from here like that of a good restaurant. Now the passengers and others don't have to wander here and there looking for good food. The food plaza would provide tasty and lip-licking food throughout day and night.
Virendra Singh said that the restaurant would be open not only for the passengers but also for others. He said that 144 customers can sit in this restaurant. Ground floor of the plaza has 'take away' counter from where one can have tea, coffee, cold drink and snacks. On the first floor there is air-conditioned restaurant with a sitting capacity of 72 persons. Here all sorts of food are available. There is an open- air restaurant also in the first floor. Here too there is a sitting capacity of 72 customers. Apart from other food materials Chat Counter is also available here.
Janta Khana
Main speciality of the food plaza is that it would cater all category of customers. 'Janta Khana' would be available here round the clock. At a price of Rs 10 one can have 'Janta Khana'. Hakmichand Choutai, who is also partner in railway catering, said that considering the present price rise the rate of 'Janta Khana' is less than other restaurants.
Nilesh Patel who is looking after restaurant in Indian Railways giving details of rates said that rate of Chicken Malai Tikka will cost Rs 150, Plain Dosa Rs 35, Masala Dosa Rs 40, Idli Sambar Rs 20, French Pipe Rs 20, Veg Burger Rs 30, Chicken Burger Rs 40, etc.
Rate of food per plate is: Standard Plate: Rs 60, Rush N Bite Rs 75, Non-Veg Plate Rs 90, Veg Hundi Biryani Rs 85, Non-Veg Hundi Biryani Rs 100, Panir Aloo Mutter Rs Rs 60, Chicken Masala Rs 80, and Aloo Dum Masala is Rs 80.
Licensee of the restaurant Dharmendra Tiwari said that our efforts would be to serve all passengers on top priority and provide quality and tasty food to the passengers and residents of Bhopal round the clock.
MP Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Ashwini Lohani was chief guest of the inaugural function. Others who were present include Additional DRM Col., MP Singh, IRCTC chief regional manager Virendra Singh and PRO KK Dube and several other railway officers.
