Bhopal, Oct 12: Students of Baby Convent High School, Jehangirabad in coordination with Global Cancer Concern India collected money for the cancer patients. The students not only offered their pocket money but also they went every home to collect donation for the patients. This being a pious work the students decided to contribute for such works in future.
School Principal informed that the students are engaged in such social works frequently so that helping mentality is inculcated in them and they become good citizens and good social workers. These days, lakhs of patients are dying due to cancer or want of proper treatment and medicine. Social institutions should come forward to help these patients who are economically weak.
Doordarshan, Bhopal interviewed several students to encourage them in social work. Their interview would be telecast on Oct 13 at 4.15 PM under 'Hello DD' programme. The telecast would include talks by Global Cancer Concern India representative Col. S Kumar, Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital Cancer Specialist Dr TP Sahu and Dr SP Dube on cancer.
